Hey, here’s some news from Dazzled Kid land…!

Friday 23 September 2011 ↵

After a fun and busy festival summer it’s already kick-off time for a couple of Dazzled Kid club shows in Holland. No lack of inspiration the last months, so I have been quite busy writing new songs, and can’t wait to play some of them live for you. The Dazzled Kid line up is still the same (although for some nights I’ll be bringing a special guest) and if you haven’t seen us play live you can check out this footage from Stronger at Pinkpop festival . I really love playing with these guys….

Yesterday we confirmed the last support act, so I’m happy (and a bit proud ;-) to bring:
Kai Fish in Arnhem and Amsterdam (very cool UK band, bass player of Mystery Jets http://www.kaifish.co.uk)
Gram in Breda (with a brand new record under her belt! http://www.gramgramgram.com)
Palio Super Speed Donkey in Den Haag and Utrecht (ass kicking new kids on the block http://paliosuperspeeddonkey.bandcamp.com)

Here’s the complete list, click for tickets…

One of the new songs I’ve been writing (the world works in mysterious ways sometimes) ended up being used in a car TV commercial. I’ve been told it’s airing almost everywhere in the world except for Holland, and funnily enough that’s where my tv lives, but well… ;-) It’s called Glow, and I recorded it with the help of a few friends, thanks to them! You can listen to it here

For the rest I’m enjoying life quite a bit I must say… After taking a break in working on other people’s music for more than a year I’m slowly getting my hands on some collaborations that I really like… It’s a fine line in helping out other people with their music, while maintaining my own creative course, but am sure it’s a line I can find and walk. Until november you can find me in Milan, London and LA, so if I know you and that’s where you live, know that I’ll be ready for a drink or a couple of ‘m.

And the last thing… Thanks to everyone coming out to shows and listening to Fire Needs Air, I really appreciate it…
